A contractual promise where a chef agrees not to make negative or damaging public statements about their former employer (or client), often paired with a clause restricting them from working for competitors or starting a similar business within a specific geographic area and time period.

**Section 7: Restrictive Covenants**
(a) **Non-Disparagement.** Chef agrees that for a period of twelve (12) months following termination of this Agreement, Chef shall not, directly or indirectly, publish, communicate, or otherwise disparage Client, its owners, officers, or affiliated entities in any public or private forum, including but not limited to social media, review sites, or professional circles.
(b) **Non-Compete.** Chef further agrees that for a period of six (6) months following termination, Chef shall not provide Culinary Services (as defined in Exhibit A) to any business operating within a fifteen (15) mile radius of Client's principal location at [Address], nor shall Chef solicit Client's customers or employees.
